Privacy, in plain words.
What a check sends, and what it leaves behind.
Text and images are processed in memory. We do not store original submissions or rewrites. We store a hash, score, time, categories, offsets and safe result descriptions. Saved results do not contain quoted text, raw image metadata or provider prose.
Local checks run on our server. When configured, our AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) receives text for analysis or rewrites and resized images for visual analysis. The optional statistical text service receives text. The image probability service receives images. Cloudflare Turnstile may verify anonymous requests. Those services apply their own data policies; we do not promise their retention periods.
A signed visitor cookie tracks anonymous allowance. The network backstop stores a daily HMAC of the IP address, not the raw address. Signed-in checks use the account. Sessions use necessary cookies. Only your theme preference is saved in browser storage.
Accounts retain safe results until deletion. Deletion removes local account data and cancels active recurring billing first. If billing cancellation fails, deletion stops so you can resolve the charge. Payment and email services receive details needed for checkout and sign-in. Payment providers may retain records under their own policies.
Optional analytics records only fixed, content-free events. Session replay, automatic click tracking and input capture are off. Submitted content and result details are never included. No analytics request is made when analytics is not configured.
